READING PARTNERS
Reading Partners is a national non-profit children’s literacy organization focused on bringing educational equity to under-resourced students through 1:1 volunteer tutoring fueled by community members. During my service year as an Americorps Volunteer Coordinator for Reading Partners Colorado, my responsibilities included volunteer onboarding, recruitment and retention along with social media and design support. Below are selected works that were created during that time.
ROAD TO READING
Reading Partners Colorado biggest fundraising event annually comes from their Road to Reading Gala. In 2023, the selected location was Wings over the Rockies. For design support, I was asked to create social media posts and a poster to go along with the event.
COLORADO GIVES DAY
For organizations in Colorado, one of the largest days annually comes from Colorado Gives Day on December 5th. Reading Partners Colorado is no exception being non-profit. To help with efforts, I was asked to create a poster which better aligns with branding given by Colorado Gives Foundation.
BOOKS & BREWS
Reading Partner Colorado loves to engage with the community along with current volunteers and anyone who might be interested through Books & Brews, a semi annual event. For design support, I created posters along with motion reels to help promote two events.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
From the work that refuses to go unnoticed includes a promotional reel for an information session, book illustrations for a custom children's book called "Uche's Umbrella" and appreciation post cards for volunteers.
